Pesto Burgers

Sorry the picture doesn't look super appetizing; it doesn't do this recipe justice. I had to defrost the meat last minute so that's why the "patty" isn't beautiful. The pesto burgers were delicious though!

Pesto Burgers With Caramelized Onions and Mushrooms

1 lb ground beef (grass-fed is ideal)
2 tablespoons Paleo pesto
1 onion, thinly sliced
9 mushrooms, thinly sliced

1. Mix pesto into the ground beef. Form three patties and place them in a large frying pan on medium high heat (or cook on a grill). Cook until no longer pink inside, flipping halfway through.
2. While the burgers cook, thinly slice the onion and mushrooms. Place them in a frying pan and sauté
until both the onions and mushrooms are cooked through. Serve up the burgers with the onion and mushrooms on top.
