Orange Maple Salmon

Orange Maple Salmon

This sweet and salty salmon recipe is very easy and flavorful. The hint of citrus is perfect with the sweet and garlicky glaze. Whip this fish recipe up quickly on any weeknight for a fast and tasty meal!

Prep time: 4 minutes
Marinate time: 15 minutes
Cook time: 20 minutes

Ingredients:
4 large salmon fillets
4 cloves of garlic, minced
½ cup coconut aminos
¼ cup maple syrup
½  tablespoon of orange juice
4 thinly sliced orange rounds
 dash of arrow root powder

1. Preheat the oven to 450 degrees. In a bowl, stir together the garlic, coconut aminos, maple syrup, and orange juice. Take half the mixture and put it into a plastic bag along with the salmon. Refrigerate for 15 minutes.
2. Line a baking sheet with foil and fold up the edges. Place the salmon and any extra marinade on the baking sheet. Place one orange round on top of each piece of salmon. Bake for 15-17 minutes or until cooked through.
3. In a small sauce pan, simmer the remaining marinade for 10 minutes over medium heat. If needed, add a dash of arrow root powder while stirring to thicken the sauce. When the salmon is done, drizzle the sauce over each piece.

  1. Mmmm. I want to wait till I'm done with the 21DSD to make this recipe so that I don't have to omit the maple syrup, but this looks super yummy. Can't wait to try it!

  2. This recipe looks delicious AND it fits the paleo autoimmune protocol (a rare thing). So, thank you! I recently started a weekly Paleo AIP Recipe Roundtable through my blog, and I would love it if you linked up this recipe. I’m trying to expand resources for the AIP community.
